Bug Hunt
This week we learned
all about bugs! To help with our research, we went on a bug
hunt! We learned how to tell the difference between insects,
arachnids, gastropods, and annelids.
After our bug hunt,
we recorded our scientific data. We had to look at things
like: number of legs, number of body parts, wings, antennae,
where we found the bug, and color. Then we drew a picture of
it.
We mostly found
ants, worms, flies, and beetles. We almost got a dragonfly
and Mrs. Main caught a bee. It didn't seem very happy so we
let it go! Some of the ants espcaped into the classroom
while we were at lunch! But, we managed to find them all for
our recording. (we think!) Then we let our bugs go back into
their natural habitat.
Overall, it was a
great time! We learned a lot!
